The illustrations and the aliens make me thi short note review: Unfortunately I don’t see many kids or teens picking this up on their own, aside from that rare breed that really loves to read about science truth pf told, I was one of those kids and would have loved this at about age Once again, the award-winning illustrations of the Cannons render the complex clear and everything cleverly comedic.

Then again, the target audience my be young kids. Evolution, the most accessible graphic work on this universally studied subject, takes the reader from earth’s primordial soup to the vestigial structures, like the coccyx and the male nipple, of modern humans.

I was skeptical of this book at first, but evoluion really enjoyed it. Every dino on that spread was different. While I don’t have a huge amount of experience reading science-themed graphic novels, I do sort of have a sense that they come in two different broad categories.
